The Challenge
CGLCC needed to increase awareness and participation in its annual Summit and strengthen its leadership profile within the LGBTQIA+ business community. The challenge was to promote the Summit as a premier business conference while elevating CGLCC’s executives as trusted thought leaders on economic empowerment, the evolving business landscape, and the ongoing impacts of COVID.
Our Response
Tartanbond delivered a strategic public relations and media relations program to elevate CGLCC and its annual Summit. We developed clear, compelling messaging, secured targeted media opportunities, and positioned CGLCC leaders as credible voices on key issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ business community. Through proactive outreach and a coordinated communications strategy, we increased awareness of the Summit, supported participant recruitment, and strengthened CGLCC’s overall profile within the business ecosystem.
Impact
Canada’s LGBTQIA+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) hosted the New World: 2021 Digital LGBT+ Global Business Summit from June 8 - 10, 2021. In May, CGLCC realized they were still shy of their goal of reaching 1,000 registrants and decided to enlist the support of Tartanbond for one final registration push.
Two big markers of success were the number of media outlets that included the Summit in their media coverage and the success in reaching CGLCC’s target registration numbers.
