The Challenge

Haida Tourism sought marketing support to promote its 2023 season. As a remote destination with all-inclusive cultural packages, there is a high amount of research and involvement in a customer’s booking journey. 

Our Response

In garnering newsletter sign-ups from the current digital ad campaign, Tartanbond activated an email marketing program designed to nurture warm leads and convert strong leads into guests through targeted booking-driven communications.

In parallel, Tartanbond delivered a full suite of integrated marketing and communications services to strengthen overall visibility and performance. This included a comprehensive social media audit and strategy, ongoing content creation, paid digital advertising, organic social media management, and an integrated marketing and communications approach that ensured all channels worked together to support campaign objectives and drive results.

Impact

  • Our team used an integrated approach to capture leads via paid digital advertisements and social media. Using these mediums, we were able to grow Haida Tourism’s email list by +654 subscribers and retarget during this campaign. ​
  • After segmenting Haida Tourism’s subscriber list, we launched a multi-phase email campaign, with the goal to migrate top-of-funnel leads to future guests, or strong leads. ​
  • Tartanbond designed a new email template for Haida Tourism to use, which was also optimized for mobile UX.​
  • Following just the second phase of the email campaign, Haida Tourism received over 15 bookings. ​
  • A secondary outcome of the email marketing campaign was establishing Haida Tourism as the tourism operator for authentic Indigenous experiences on Haida Gwaii.
