The Challenge
The vision for this second annual media event was to bring to life the holiday season, showcasing the extensive product array found at London Drugs for
gifting, decorating, celebrating, and staying healthy.
Hosting the event in October ensured that we are top of mind for the upcoming holiday season as journalists and creators begin to plan out their gift guides and seasonal recommendations.
Our Response
The location of the event was at the DOUGLAS in the two-floor Apt 108 Suite. We showcased the products throughout the suite with various displays to create moments that highlighted the top gifts of the season. This year we had multiple interactive stations for guests where they could really experience the products featured.
This included an opportunity for guests to try the new Nintendo Switch Super Mario Party Jamboree game, taste seasonal Nespresso flavours, a Cricut craft with a take-home gift, a claw-machine that featured a surprise gift, a beauty station with London Drugs Beauty Experts demonstrating makeup trials and applying lashes, as well as a hair tool demo from Revlon with live hair touch-ups.
Impact
Attendance was incredibly successful with over 60 media and influencers attending. We received astounding feedback from all attendees and captured attention and invite requests for future events from many people who were not able to attend, or who saw the event featured across social channels.
