The Challenge
Our client dreamt of opening their own restaurant at one of the Hotel Zed locations, and after months of planning, Roar was launched at Hotel Zed Tofino. The caveat? The restaurant was launched during a time when only British Columbians could visit Tofino, and journalists were still apprehensive about travelling.
Our Response
As food writers and journalists started to become more comfortable with the idea of travel, Tartanbond worked to ensure that Roar at Hotel Zed Tofino was positioned as a summer “must-try” to our network of top-tier food writers, securing rave food reviews. In addition, Tartanbond worked with tourism partners for a fall press trip during the fall to secure more coverage going into the winter.
Impact
Tartanbond’s media relationships resulted in a number of rave reviews from top-tier food critics, positioning Roar as one to watch within the industry.
